From First Idea to the Final Ribbon

Designing your wedding stationery should feel as joyful as the wedding itself - creative, calm, and completely personal. At The Creative Bride, every bespoke suite begins with curiosity, conversation, and a sprinkle of creative magic. Here’s how your story becomes a tangible, hand-crafted keepsake.

 

1. The First Conversation

It starts with a simple chat.
You share your ideas, colours, and vision - or even just a feeling - and we explore whether bespoke design is right for you. This relaxed call or message exchange helps us understand your aesthetic and ensures we’re the perfect creative match.

 

2. Your Design Consultation

Once you’re ready to begin, we’ll schedule your one-hour design consultation (£75, credited towards your order).
Together, we’ll talk about every beautiful detail:

  • Your colour palette and textures

  • The mood and style of your wedding

  • Any inspiration images, florals, or décor you’d like to echo

  • Practical details such as quantity, inserts, and timeline

You’ll leave with a clear direction and a feeling of excitement - knowing your invitations are in expert hands.

 

3. Concept Creation

After your consultation, your design takes form. We create a bespoke concept inspired by your story - carefully selecting materials, layering options, and finishes that bring your vision to life.You’ll receive a digital proof and optional physical sample so you can see and feel the quality before production begins.

 

4. Refinement & Approval

This stage is collaborative and calm.We refine fonts, colours, and layout until everything feels just right. You’ll receive final digital proofs for approval before any cutting or printing takes place.

 

5. Handcrafting Begins

This is where craftsmanship takes over.
Each invitation is printed, cut, and layered by hand in our Cheshire studio.
Wax seals are pressed, ribbons tied, and every piece is quality-checked to perfection. No production line - just artistry and patience.

 

6. The Presentation

Your finished suites are carefully packaged in tissue and sealed boxes, ready to be unboxed in a way that feels as beautiful as your day. Many couples tell us that receiving their invitations is when the wedding suddenly feels real.

Timelines

Every suite is individually made, so timing depends on design complexity.
As a guide:

  • Consultation to proof: 1–2 weeks

  • Proof approval to delivery: 3–5 weeks

We recommend beginning your bespoke design journey at least 6 months before your wedding to allow for design, assembly, and mailing.
